are they taken through a fence?
Yeah, can't get clear shots at the GP without a photgraphers pass... FIA regulation fences are a pain!

how do you focus the fence out so much though?

how do you focus the fence out so much though?
Since I was using a 300mm lense, zoomed in about 280mm and once focused on what is beyond the fence, it becomes almost invisible.

fence was a right royal pain... but like MatsHoldent said, if you focus to a point beyond the fence it works out ok.... also helps if you are relatively close to the fence and your focus point is a fair way off and the piece of fence you are shooting through is in the shade.

not sure what MatsHolden used... mine were/are:
the Brawn & Ferrari - 500mm, f8, 1/800, 200ISO
the Red Bull - 50mm, f14, 1/250, 200ISO
lens is a Sigma 50-500mm on a handheld Canon 30d
cheers,
