got offered two gt28 turbos for $750-800ish dollars for both... one perfect condition (barely used) other small movement.. contemplating on these for the 1jz but trying to think how much lag there would be from twin turboing with these or leaving stock ct12as and having smooth power curve or just using one gt28 and having a very very small gain and a bit of lag. wish i could do one ct12a and one gt28 but too hard :p

Decided I want to keep my amp and not sell it with the car so ripped the f**ker out.
Had to pull more of the dash and glovebox apart to do so, but got it out.
Re-wired the HU and proceeded to put the car back together.
Finally finished is and realised that I lost the HU surround... so found an old one and modified it to suit.

Console I did a wet sand only to 400, should've gone to at least 1200 to make it even smoother.
Primed, 6 coats Gloss Midnight Black, 3 coats clear.
Pictures aren't the best, will take some proper ones tonight/tomorrow once the car is all clean and up for sale.

Asked a mate in Holland source me a cdti airbox (he lives next to the local wreckers). Then saw one on Ebay and bought that one too. :)

Washed and waxed it.

Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats.

Then started to put the new rubber antenna seal on that I got months ago. At first I thought it was hard to do but after following the instructions I got from Guy27, it turned out to be a piece of cake and easy as. Was on within 20 minutes.

What hose you using to connect the turbo to the airbox for the CDTi airbox?? I found an airbox in my shed but need to move the air flow meter and find hoses to connect it up.

Turbo: finished off the timing belt and replaced the rocker cover gasket for hopefully the last time!!

Deciding now which Astra to hold on to!!

Don'y know yet. Was going to use some temporary pipes first with the original as currently in the car, some that I have already and possibly that pipe Aza28 is selling (provided Boorny doesn't take that). Then I want to ask the guys that made my intercooler pipes, to make me a costom made pipe to fit this air intake system and to go with the rest of the enginebay.

They did all the Calibra's for racing back then so had the spare kits just in case they crashed lol.

Was funny when I rocked up there this morning, there were another 4 astra's there. The owner loves the Astra's so does alot of work on them. Showed me the 2.2 motor he picked up for a slab to replace the one someones wife kept on driving after snapping the chain. Still had the valve heads sitting on top of the pistons

...an air filter made in China
...a timing belt kit, with the belt made in Germany, and the pulleys of unknown origin
...an aux belt tensioner of unknown origin
...an oil filter made in Poland
...a fuel filter made in Poland
...an EGR valve made in Portugal
...a water pump made in Spain
...4 spark plugs made in the EU (European Union? Kind of generic...!)

Awesome work Chris. My gsi list to do...

Fill engine oil-Got

Fill with water to see if if made any mistakes on coolant hoses. Then fill with coolant which iv got.

Fill gearbox with fluid-still need fluid and does anyone know where to fill it from?

Stick wheels on... Still haven't decided which ones yet... Got 4 sets... Doh!!!

Reattatch front swaybar but I can't find the bolts... Another Doh!!!

Decided to make brackets so I can use the c16 fuel rail as it has the return lines and the z18 doesn't. Plus iv waited since Christmas eve for the fuel pressure regulator which I bought on eBay. They have sent 2 aparantly but non have arrived. Gonna get a refund and at least I know I'm using oem parts not dodgy Hong Kong knock offs.

Fit battery and hopefully all is well.
