needs;
to be dropped (guessing height is due to blocks in springs for shipping) also bigger wheels with lower profile tyres and a rear diffuser (will probably come on the vxr/opc though).

Not enough detail in those taillights to me.. Its just a clump of red. Even the h had chrome surrounding, these remind me of boring corolla lights

i agree with adam. i think they tried to make it look as plain as possiblr or it might be the base pack

would have to be an opel building of some sort.
not a car park or anything. look at the back wall and floor markings. maybe a design checking area? making sure its good for production (cant think of the name of these places)

Looks like it's just a normal AJ coupe, the VXR variant should most definitely look better...
Also at first glance to me it looked like a Mazda CX7
Definitely need to see better shots of the whole thing before passing judgement, but I remain confident the VXR AJ variant will be a stunning machine both visually and mechanically - havn't been this excited about an Opel vehicle in a long time :)

Don't worry guys this is a base model, the new OPC looks awesome and sits on 20 inch wheels too. When the pics come out I'm sure you'll love it. It makes the bland and boring Golf GTi look old hat!

Thought as much, it's very plain looking.
Any time frame, or have you said too much already? ;)

Agree, hopefully they don't kill it or other Opels with ridiculous pricing points here in Aust.
They have to remember that alot of people know only recently they wore GMH badges, if all of a sudden they show up at double the price, it'll be a fail...

And here's the footage from the shot at the ring. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/267412/new_astra_vxr_spy_video.html
Looks like some decent work has been done on the suspension, looks very composed through the corners.

i think the camo colouring helps with that. when its a flat colour all around, will look not as angled

Probably so...
Can't wait to see these in the metal and as per the other thread the Scirocco as well, what a hard choice it will end up being if you could actually be in a position to buy one :)

That's a typical trait of all Opels...
Astra VXR is really bad on that one and the Vecce C OPC model didn't want to turn at all at high cornering speeds LOL :D
Shouldn't be a prob for 99% of street usage anyway and none of these are track cars, also each new model will be better than the last in handling capability :)

Every road based car is actually designed to understeer though to teach people who can't drive where the limits are. Much less chance of crashing and injury than if a car was setup to oversteer.

Interesting wheels - set up like fans. I wonder if they are actually designed for airflow for the brakes?
Ah, that'll be a 'no'. One side would be pushing and the other side pulling. They'd have to make left and right handed versions if that was the intention...
